I've noticed a lot of random unnamed bosses popping up lately. Not alot as in one every screen or so but just a lot of bosses popping up in areas that have no names. Like on the Ice Floe and even in the Crystal desert there was a Griffon boss with no name just a warrior glow. If I move around enough in game I'm guaranteed to see at least one nameless boss in an hour or play.

You encounter a few bosses with the glow but no name from time to time, so yeah, they exist but it seems unlikely that this boss would be essentially a copy of Maw and be nameless on purpose. If it is unnamed I would imagine it is most likely just a random glitch.

The thing that burns me up about Maw is that he's only guaranteed to be in DD. A run to DD from anywhere is a long run. You certainly feel the Necro hate when you have to make that slog up to cap FoC. It's funny most other elites in Southern Shiverpeaks have 2 locations you can cap them, and a lot are in relatively small maps or missions.
Oh well, enough whining.

Guildmate of mine recently found Maw right outside the troll cave in Talus Chute.

No problems on my end either. It's just a long map to crawl through. I've capped it twice, once for my necro and the other form my Mo/N. I just don't care for it being so far out of the way.

Maw the Mountain Heart can spawn in Snake Dance, Grenth's Footprints, Dreadnaught's Drift, and Lornar's Pass.
GG all. Please, learn your elite locations. ;P j/k

a have a guildmate of mine was on his way from citadel to warcamp when he ran into Maw at spearhead peak near the way to grenth's footprint. lucky him he had a signet and was spared a future slog to dreadnaught's drift. guess you can add spearhead peak to that list.
